Privacy Policy | Dylco Electric | Westfield, Indiana
Effective date: August 14, 2026
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Dylco Electric respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit www.dylcoelectric.com or hire us for electrical work, how we use it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. The short version: we collect what we need to quote your job, do the work, and stay in touch — and we never sell your information. Questions? Call 317-896-1328 or email service@dylcoelectric.com.
1. What This Privacy Policy Covers and Who It Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to Dylco Electric ("Dylco Electric," "we," "us," or "our"), a licensed electrical contractor at 16462 Southpark Dr, Suite I, Westfield, IN 46074, and covers information we collect through www.dylcoelectric.com and its subdomains, our contact and quote forms, our phone and text message communications, and the course of providing electrical services to you.
It does not cover the practices of companies we don't own or control, including third-party websites we link to, manufacturers whose products we install, or financing partners you apply to directly. Their policies govern what they do with your information. By using our site or our services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information You Provide Directly to Dylco Electric
We only ask for what we need to quote and complete electrical work.
Contact Information You Give Us
Your name, phone number, email address, and service address when you submit a contact or quote form, call us, text us, book an appointment, or leave a review request response.
Project and Service Information
Details about your home or building and the work you need — panel age and size, service capacity, what you're trying to add or fix, photos you send us, access notes, and the notes and measurements our technicians record on site.
Payment and Billing Information
Billing name and address, invoice history, and payment records. Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor — Dylco Electric does not store your full credit or debit card number. If you apply for financing, that application goes to the lender, not to us.
Communications and Preferences
The content of emails, texts, voicemails, and form messages you send us, your appointment history, your marketing preferences, and whether you've opted in to or out of text messages and emails.
3. Information Collected Automatically When You Visit
Like most websites, ours collects some technical information automatically when you browse.
Device and Usage Data
IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring website, pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, and the date and time of your visit.
Approximate Location Data
A general location — typically city or region — derived from your IP address. We use it to know which parts of Central Indiana our traffic comes from and whether you're inside our service area. We do not collect precise GPS location from your device through this website.
Form and Call Tracking Data
If you call a tracking number or submit a form, we may record which page, ad, or campaign brought you to us, so we know which marketing is working. Calls to our office may be recorded or monitored for quality and training; if so, you'll be notified at the start of the call.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them, and so do a few services we rely on.
Essential and Functional Cookies
Required for the site to work — keeping forms from resubmitting, remembering your preferences, and keeping the site secure. These can't be turned off without breaking the site.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our site — which pages get read, where visitors come from, and where they drop off. This is aggregate and statistical; we're not trying to identify you personally.
Advertising and Remarketing Pixels
We may use advertising tools such as Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixels to measure ad performance and show our ads to people who've visited our site. These tools may set cookies that let those platforms recognize your browser across sites.
How to Control Cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and you can adjust ad personalization directly in your Google and Meta account settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you from using our site, though some conveniences may not work.
5. How Dylco Electric Uses the Information We Collect
We use your information to:
- Respond to your quote request, question, or service call
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and load calculations for your property
- Schedule appointments and dispatch a technician to the right address
- Pull permits and coordinate inspections and utility work on your behalf
- Order equipment sized and specified for your home
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and job-status updates
- Invoice you and process payment
- Provide warranty service and maintain records of work performed
- Send marketing communications — offers, seasonal promotions, and service reminders — where you've consented or where permitted by law
- Request a review after a completed job
- Improve our website, our service, and our marketing
- Detect fraud, protect our systems, and comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you, and we do not sell your personal information.
6. Text Message (SMS) Consent and Your Mobile Data
What We Never Do With Mobile Data
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. All other categories of data are handled as described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
How You Opt In to Text Messages
You opt in by checking the SMS consent checkbox on our contact or quote form at www.dylcoelectric.com/contact, by texting us first, or by giving express written or verbal consent to a Dylco Electric representative. Our consent checkboxes are separate for marketing and non-marketing messages, are unchecked by default, and you check them yourself. Consent is never required to purchase any goods or services from Dylco Electric — our forms submit successfully whether or not you check an SMS box.
What Messages You May Receive
If you consent, you may receive appointment confirmations and reminders, service and job-status updates, quote follow-ups, dispatch notifications, billing reminders, review requests, customer care replies, and promotional or marketing messages such as special offers and seasonal discounts. Messages come from 317-708-4611. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How to Opt Out of Text Messages
Reply STOP to any message from us at any time and we'll send one confirmation message, then stop. You can also opt out by calling 317-896-1328 or emailing service@dylcoelectric.com. Reply HELP to any message for assistance.
Who Processes Our Text Messages
We send text messages through GoHighLevel, a customer relationship and messaging platform that processes messages on our behalf as a service provider. GoHighLevel and the mobile carriers that deliver the messages are permitted to handle your number only to deliver our messages to you — not for their own marketing. Full SMS program terms are in our Terms of Service.
7. When and With Whom We Share the Information We Collect
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your contact list to anyone. We share information only in these situations:
Service Providers and Vendors
Companies that help us run the business and are contractually limited to that purpose — our CRM and messaging platform (GoHighLevel), website host, email and analytics providers, payment processor, scheduling tools, and our marketing agency. They may access your information only to perform work for us.
Subcontractors and Trade Partners
When a job requires a licensed subcontractor, an equipment supplier, or a manufacturer's warranty registration, we share the minimum needed — typically your name, service address, and equipment details — so the work or the warranty can be completed.
Permitting Authorities and Utilities
Permit applications, inspection scheduling, and utility disconnect/reconnect coordination require us to share your service address and project details with the city, county, or utility. These filings may become public records.
Legal and Safety Disclosures
When required by law, subpoena, or court order; to investigate fraud or a security incident; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dylco Electric, our customers, or the public.
Business Transfers
If Dylco Electric is ever sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of the business. We'd notify you, and the acquiring party would remain bound by this policy for information collected under it.
8. How We Protect and Secure the Information We Hold
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including HTTPS encryption across the site, access controls limiting customer data to employees who need it, reputable vendors for payment processing and data storage, and password and account protections on the systems we use.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Please don't send sensitive information such as full card numbers, Social Security numbers, or account credentials by email or text. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you as required by Indiana law.
9. How Long Dylco Electric Keeps Your Information on File
We keep customer and job records as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, plus the period required for warranty service, tax and accounting requirements, insurance, and legal claims. In practice, that means job and invoice records are retained for several years after a project closes — warranty and liability questions on electrical work can surface long after the crew leaves.
Marketing contact information is kept until you opt out or ask us to delete it. Website analytics data is retained per our analytics provider's default retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it unidentifiable.
10. Your Privacy Rights, Choices, and How to Use Them
Access, Correction, and Deletion
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email service@dylcoelectric.com or call 317-896-1328 and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to retain certain records where law, warranty obligations, or an open dispute requires it.
Marketing Email Opt-Out
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or email us and ask. You'll still receive transactional messages about work in progress — appointment confirmations, invoices, and warranty notices.
SMS Opt-Out
Reply STOP to any text message. See Section 6 for the full process.
Residents of States With Privacy Laws
Indiana's Consumer Data Protection Act and similar laws in other states give residents rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. Dylco Electric does not sell personal data. If you're a resident of a state with such a law and want to exercise a right, contact us at service@dylcoelectric.com and tell us which right you're exercising.
11. Do Not Track Signals and Your Browser Preferences
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There's still no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You can still control tracking through the cookie and ad-personalization options described in Section 4, and through your browser's privacy settings.
12. Children's Privacy and Our Policy on Minors' Data
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we don't market to children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact service@dylcoelectric.com and we'll delete it promptly. Anyone under 18 should not submit a form, request service, or consent to text messages without a parent or guardian.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services We Do Not Control
Our site links to and embeds third-party services — Google Maps, review platforms, manufacturer product pages, financing partners, and social media profiles among them. We include them because they're useful, but we don't control their content or their privacy practices.
Once you leave our site or interact with an embedded service, that company's privacy policy governs what happens to your information. We'd encourage you to read the policy of any third-party site before providing information to it.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy and How We Notify You
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or the law changes. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the new version here. Material changes to how we handle mobile or text message data will be posted on this page before they take effect.
Continuing to use our site or services after an update means you accept the revised policy. We'd recommend checking this page occasionally — and if you disagree with a change, you can opt out of communications or ask us to delete your information at any time.
