Terms of Service | Dylco Electric | Westfield, Indiana
Effective date: August 14, 2026
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using www.dylcoelectric.com or requesting service from Dylco Electric. These terms explain what we provide, what we ask of you, how our text message program works, and the legal terms that apply when you use this website or hire us for electrical work. If you have a question about anything here, call us at 317-896-1328 or email service@dylcoelectric.com — we'd rather explain it than have you guess.
1. Who We Are and What These Terms of Service Cover
Dylco Electric ("Dylco Electric," "we," "us," or "our") is a licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor based at 16462 Southpark Dr, Suite I, Westfield, IN 46074, serving Westfield, Carmel, Noblesville, Fishers, Zionsville, and the greater Indianapolis area since 2004.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.dylcoelectric.com and any subdomains, forms, quote requests, online scheduling tools, and text message communications we provide (together, the "Site" and the "Services"). They also set out the general terms that apply when you request or receive electrical work from us, except where a signed written proposal, contract, or work order says otherwise. If there's a conflict between these Terms and a signed agreement for a specific job, the signed agreement controls for that job.
2. Accepting These Terms and Who May Use This Website
By visiting the Site, submitting a form, requesting a quote, opting in to text messages, or hiring Dylco Electric, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or our Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to request service, submit a form, or consent to text messages. If you're using the Site on behalf of a business, property management company, or another person, you're confirming you have the authority to accept these Terms for them.
3. What Dylco Electric Provides Through This Website
The Site exists to describe our services, answer common electrical questions, and make it easy to reach us. Through the Site you can learn about services including electrical panel upgrades, smart electrical panel installation, Generac generator installation, EV charger installation, whole-home surge protection, battery backup systems, electrical repairs, and other residential and commercial electrical work.
Content on the Site — including service descriptions, FAQs, cost ranges, blog articles, and general electrical guidance — is provided for general information only. It is not a quote, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for an on-site evaluation by a licensed electrician. Electrical systems vary by home, by age, and by code cycle. Never rely on general information from this Site to perform electrical work yourself. Pricing, availability, product lines, and manufacturer offerings can change at any time without notice.
4. Requesting Quotes, Estimates, and Service Online
When you submit a contact or quote form, you're asking us to contact you about electrical service. You're not entering a contract for work, and we're not obligated to accept every request — we may decline a job that falls outside our service area, our licensing, or our scheduling capacity.
- Accurate information. Please give us a real name, phone number, email, and service address. We rely on that information to reach you, route a technician, and pull the right permits.
- Estimates vs. quotes. Any figure given by phone, email, text, or on this Site before an on-site evaluation is a rough estimate only. A binding price comes from a written proposal after we've seen the property.
- Free quotes. Where we advertise a free quote or free on-site assessment, that offer applies to standard residential work in our service area and can be limited or withdrawn at our discretion.
- Scheduling. Appointment windows are estimates. Weather, permitting, utility coordination, inspection scheduling, and emergency calls can move a scheduled date. We'll tell you as soon as we know.
- Emergency and after-hours work. Emergency response is subject to availability and may carry different rates, which we'll disclose before we dispatch.
5. Text Message (SMS) Program Terms and Conditions
Program Description and Message Types
Dylco Electric operates a text message (SMS) program for customers and prospective customers who opt in. If you consent, you may receive: appointment confirmations and reminders, service and job-status updates, quote and estimate follow-ups, dispatch and technician arrival notifications, billing and payment reminders, review requests, customer care replies, and promotional or marketing messages — including special offers, seasonal discounts, and promotions on services such as generator installation, EV charger installation, and electrical panel upgrades. Messages are sent from 317-708-4611 using the GoHighLevel messaging platform.
How You Opt In and What Consent Means
You opt in by checking the SMS consent checkbox on our contact or quote form at www.dylcoelectric.com/contact, by texting us first, or by giving express written or verbal consent to a Dylco Electric representative. Our consent checkboxes are separate for marketing and non-marketing messages, are unchecked by default, and you check them yourself. Consent is per-checkbox — checking the non-marketing box does not opt you in to promotional messages.
Consent Is Never Required to Buy
You are never required to consent to receive text messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Dylco Electric. Our forms submit successfully whether or not you check an SMS consent box, and declining text messages has no effect on your quote, your price, or your place on our schedule.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us and any active jobs or promotions.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Message and data charges are set by your mobile carrier, not by Dylco Electric, and are your responsibility.
How to Opt Out (Reply STOP)
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a single confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further text messages from that program. If you want to rejoin, sign up again through our contact form or text START to 317-708-4611, and we'll resume sending messages to you. You can also opt out by calling 317-896-1328 or emailing service@dylcoelectric.com.
How to Get Help (Reply HELP)
If you're experiencing any issues with the messaging program, reply HELP to any message for assistance, or reach us directly at 317-896-1328 or service@dylcoelectric.com.
Carrier Disclaimer and Message Delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is outside Dylco Electric's control. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered, or delivered on time, and you should not rely on text messages for time-critical or emergency communication. For an electrical emergency, call 317-896-1328. If you smell burning, see arcing, or suspect an active electrical fire, call 911 first.
Supported Mobile Carriers
The SMS program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carrier participation can change, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your Privacy in the SMS Program
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. All other categories of data are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Pricing, Payment, Deposits, and Cancellation Terms
Prices for electrical work are set in a written proposal or work order specific to your job. Unless that document says otherwise, the following applies.
- Payment terms. Payment is due as stated on your proposal, invoice, or work order. We may require a deposit before ordering equipment or scheduling a job — particularly for generator, EV charger, panel, and battery backup installations where equipment is ordered for your specific home.
- Change orders. If the scope changes once work begins — hidden damage, an undersized service, aluminum wiring, code-required corrections, or a change you request — we'll document the change and the added cost before we proceed.
- Late payment. Past-due balances may accrue interest and collection costs to the extent Indiana law allows.
- Cancellation and rescheduling. Please give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations after equipment has been ordered, a permit has been pulled, or a crew has been dispatched may incur restocking, permit, or trip charges.
- Right to cancel. Where Indiana or federal law gives you a right to cancel a home-solicitation sale within a stated period, that right applies and nothing in these Terms limits it.
- Estimates are not invoices. An estimate is not a bill and is not binding until it becomes a signed proposal.
7. Licensing, Permits, and Indiana Code Compliance
Dylco Electric performs work as a licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor and follows the National Electrical Code as adopted and amended in Indiana, plus any additional local requirements in Westfield, Hamilton County, and the other jurisdictions we serve.
Where a job requires a permit, we pull it and coordinate the required inspection unless your written proposal states that you or your general contractor is handling permitting. Passing inspection is not a warranty of any pre-existing wiring, panel, or component we did not install or were not hired to correct. If we identify unsafe pre-existing conditions during a job, we'll document them and quote the fix, but we are not responsible for conditions outside the agreed scope of work.
8. Workmanship Warranty and Manufacturer Coverage Terms
Dylco Electric warrants our workmanship as stated in your written proposal or work order. Equipment, devices, panels, generators, chargers, and other manufactured products carry the manufacturer's own warranty, and those terms — including registration requirements and required maintenance — are set by the manufacturer, not by us. We'll help you register equipment and file a manufacturer claim where we can.
Our workmanship warranty does not cover: damage from misuse, alteration, or work performed by others after we leave; damage from power surges, lightning, flooding, storms, fire, rodents, or utility events; normal wear; failure to perform required maintenance; or pre-existing conditions in wiring, panels, or systems we did not install. Warranty service requires that your account be paid in full.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on the Site is complete, current, or accurate for your specific property. This disclaimer applies to the Site and its content — it does not limit the workmanship warranty stated in your signed proposal or any warranty that cannot be disclaimed under Indiana law.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DYLCO ELECTRIC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for personal injury, death, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. These limitations apply to your use of this website and our text message program; liability arising from electrical work we perform is governed by your signed proposal and applicable Indiana law.
10. Intellectual Property and Ownership of Site Content
All content on the Site — text, photographs of our work, graphics, logos, the Dylco Electric name and mark, page layouts, and code — is owned by Dylco Electric or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view, download, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use in evaluating or receiving our services.
You may not copy, republish, scrape, resell, or use our content, photographs, or trademarks for any other purpose without our written permission. Third-party brand names referenced on the Site — including Generac, SPAN, Lumin, Schneider Electric, Square D, Eaton, and Leviton — are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used to describe products we install.
11. Acceptable Use: What You May Not Do on This Site
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form
- Submit someone else's phone number for text messages, or consent to messages on behalf of a person who hasn't authorized you to
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or another user's information
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to harvest content, photos, or contact data
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the Site
- Use the Site or our text message program to send spam, harass, or violate any law
- Reproduce our content to build a competing site or service
We may suspend or block access to the Site, or remove a phone number or email from our systems, if we believe these Terms have been violated.
12. Third-Party Links, Tools, and Payment Processors
The Site may link to or embed third-party services — including Google Maps, review platforms, manufacturer product pages, financing partners, scheduling and messaging tools, and payment processors. We include them because they're useful, but we don't control them and we're not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices.
When you use a third-party service, that company's terms and privacy policy apply to what you do there. If you pay through a third-party payment processor or apply for financing through a partner, your transaction is governed by that provider's agreement, and Dylco Electric does not store your full payment card information.
13. Indemnification and Your Responsibility for Claims
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dylco Electric and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your submission of another person's information — including submitting a phone number for text messages without that person's consent.
This section does not apply to claims arising from Dylco Electric's own negligence or misconduct, and it does not limit any right you have under Indiana law.
14. Governing Law, Venue, and How Disputes Are Resolved
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Indiana, and you and Dylco Electric consent to that venue.
Before filing anything, please call us at 317-896-1328 or email service@dylcoelectric.com. Most issues get resolved with a phone call, and we'd rather fix a problem than argue about one. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
15. Changes to These Terms and How We Notify You of Them
We may update these Terms as our services, technology, or the law changes. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes to the text message program will also be disclosed on this page before they take effect.
Continuing to use the Site after we post an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't agree with a change, stop using the Site — and reply STOP to any text message if you no longer want to receive them.
